«Las dos hermanas» is Wilhelm Busch's illustrated verse tale, published by Reino de Cordelia in hardback (48 pages, in Spanish).
In this popular verse tale, Wilhelm Busch revisits the frog-and-prince motif and gives it a humorous twist: you don't always get what the classic story promises. The narrative, framed within his «Pequeñas historietas para ojitos y orejitas», combines the Brothers Grimm tradition with morals and visual wit.
Tenth volume in the Snacks de Cordelia collection. Translation by Álvaro de Cuenca and Luis Alberto de Cuenca. Includes 25 illustrations, from sketches to final work, by Wilhelm Busch himself.
Aimed at readers aged 8 and up, it will also appeal to collectors and those wanting to discover Wilhelm Busch's work beyond Max and Moritz.
Heinrich Christian Wilhelm Busch was a German humorist, poet, illustrator, and painter. He published wildly innovative illustrated tales that remain influential to this day.
