Las ciegas hormigas es una novela del escritor español Ramiro Pinilla, ganadora del Premio Nadal en 1961. La historia se desarrolla en la costa cantábrica y narra la vida de Sabas Jáuregui y su familia, quienes se ven envueltos en una tragedia tras el naufragio de un barco inglés. La novela explora temas como la supervivencia, la pobreza y las relaciones familiares en la España de posguerra. Ramiro Pinilla

Ramiro Pinilla (1923–2014) was a Spanish writer. He was born in Bilbao in 1923. He won the Premio Nadal in 1960 for his novel Las ciegas hormigas. He left the literary circuit for many years and did not emerge again until the 2000s, when he released his Basque trilogy of novels titled Verdes valles, Colinas rojas to great critical acclaim. He died in 2014.
