«Las aventuras del barón de Munchausen» is the young readers' adaptation of the classic by Gottfried A. Bürger, published by Editorial Vicens Vives in paperback (88 pages, in Spanish).
Following the original work, the Baron Munchausen narrates his delirious adventures: he travels to Russia, enlists in the tsar's army to fight the Turks, and stars in impossible episodes, such as a balloon flight to the Moon. This version for young readers includes the adaptation by Eduardo Murias and illustrations by Svetlin.
This edition belongs to the Cucaña Collection, number 32. The original work appeared in 1786 and was written by Rudolf Erich Raspe, later reworked by Gottfried August Bürger; Goodreads attributes authorship to Bürger in this adaptation.
Intended for primary school readers and early secondary grades approaching the classics of literature and adventure in an accessible version.
