«L'amor boig» is the novel by Pere Rovira, published by Proa in hardback (272 pages, in Catalan).
Clara and Esteve, two teenagers, flee their city to make a life for themselves in 1960s Barcelona, swept along by an intense passion. Years later, each remembers and mythifies that story in their own way, because memory is unfaithful. The novel thus delves into first and last loves and the obsessions that sometimes vertiginously unite them.
The novel belongs to the A tot vent-tela collection from Proa. It won the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona for literature in Catalan in 2007. The author is Pere Rovira, a writer born in Vila-seca in 1947.
Recommended for readers of contemporary European fiction who appreciate stories about memory and love relationships told from multiple points of view.
