«Lamia» is the English Romantic poem by John Keats, published by Reino de Cordelia in paperback (112 pages, bilingual edition in Spanish and English).
The poem recreates the legend of Lamia, a female creature of Greco-Roman mythology with a serpent's body and vampiric traits, known for threatening children. Keats draws on classical sources that make her a lover of Zeus and a victim of Hera's punishment, and his 1820 version fixed the popular image of the monster.
Volume 13 of the Los Versos de Cordelia collection. Translation and prologue by Luis Alberto de Cuenca and José Fernández Bueno; illustrations by Will Low.
Aimed at readers aged 14 and over interested in English Romantic poetry, classical mythology and the vampiric imaginary.

John Keats was an English poet of the second generation of Romantic poets, along with Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley. His poems had been in publication for less than four years when he died of tuberculosis at the age of 25. They were indifferently received in his lifetime, but his fame grew rapidly after his death. By the end of the century, he was placed in the canon of English literature, strongly influencing many writers of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood; the Encyclopædia Britannica of 1888 described his "Ode to a Nightingale" as "one of the final masterpieces".
