«L'àguila negra» is the contemporary fiction novel by Joan Carreras, published by Proa in hardback (356 pages, in Catalan).
Marià Solvell, about to turn 70 and with no routines, spends a few days in a nudist village to settle debts with his past. He wants to recover the dentist he was, the young man of an intense relationship, and the child who lived in the Barcelona of the sixties and seventies. It is a portrait of ordinary people who tried to live fully in a complacent Spain.
Novel winner of the Premi Sant Jordi de novel·la 2014 and number 627 of the A Tot Vent-Tela collection.
For readers of contemporary literary fiction, interested in personal memory and the changes in Barcelona from the fifties to 2012.
