«La violence et la non-violence» is a children's philosophy book by Brigitte Labbé and Michel Puech (Milan Jeunesse, paperback, 39 pp., in French).

The starting point is an everyday scene: a glance, a mocking smile and an unkind word chain together until they lead to a serious conflict. With an approachable tone, the work invites children to think about why violence exists and shows that non-violence is a possible option for resolving problems without aggression.

Published in 2002, it belongs to the Les Goûters Philo collection; the illustrations are by Jacques Azam.
