«La vida a veces» is the short story collection by Carlos del Amor, published by the Espasa Narrativa collection of Espasa in paperback (248 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together twenty-five stories that turn the everyday into narrative material: letters that never arrive, people with their hearts stopped, lost ducklings, neighbourhood courtyards, photographs of events that never happened, or airports with kisses. The details and small things that do not appear in the headlines are the protagonists, and the author's gaze, with sensitivity and humour, invites reflection on the extraordinary within the ordinary.
It is Carlos del Amor's first foray into fiction, published in January 2013 within the Espasa Narrativa collection.
Recommended for readers of contemporary fiction and short stories who appreciate tales about everyday life and small gestures.
