La verdad sobre Tierno Galván

Synopsis of La verdad sobre Tierno Galván

This book is a biography of Enrique Tierno Galván, written by César Alonso de los Ríos. It unravels the biographical facts that Tierno Galván himself hid, revealing the inventions with which he replaced or covered up those facts. The case of VP (the Old Professor), as he was known familiarly, is analyzed, highlighting his singularity as one of the most powerful intellectual and political personalities of the last half of the century.

The work invites reflection not only on the personal reasons for his behavior, but also on the nature of the political and social reality in which it occurred. Through the construction that the Professor makes of himself, as a civil and political figure, the values of the time and the nature of Spanish public life are revealed, as well as the path to power conceived democratically.
