«La Vella Quaresma» is the children's book by Marga Sala, published in 2016 by Editorial Casals (26 pages, in Catalan).
The work depicts a popular festival scene: a group of children and adults advances down a street, while a hooded character climbs a ladder with some bags and another plays a musical instrument. The atmosphere, reflected in an illustration with vivid colors and hand-drawn lines, has a playful and traditional feel.
Recommended for children and for readers seeking works in Catalan.
