God is finally coming to Spain on tour! Now, more than ever, such a visit is necessary. This phrase would make sense in any era, including the current one. But Enrique Jardiel Poncela, the greatest genius of our humorous literature, published La «Tournée de Dios» in 1932. The proof of its impact is that some called it pious propaganda, but Francoism wanted to censor the author, and the Church, to prohibit his burial in sacred ground. After reading Jardiel's best novel, many will have faith again. In literature and in laughter.
Enrique Jardiel Poncela was a Spanish playwright and novelist who wrote mostly humorous works.
