In 'The Solitude of the Lost,' Luis Mateo Díez immerses us in a world where fog and desolation are constant. Ambrosio Leda, the protagonist, lives hidden in Balma, a shadowy city marked by the post-war period. Through his wandering nights, full of encounters and revelations, the author presents us with a reflection on the solitude and loss of those who have been thrown into the abyss of history. This novel, awarded the National Prize for Spanish Literature 2020, stands out for its precise and elegant prose, which captures the essence of unforgettable characters in an oppressive and grotesque environment.
