«La seriedad» is the collection of six short stories by Argentine author Andrés Ehrenhaus, published by Mondadori in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Six stories that explore friendship, identity and violence through characters who face a reality that is often strange. The common thread is a fascination with a language that seems to tell on its own: a disorderly narrative machine, capable of generating perplexity. They are self-contained stories with a varied, absorbing and measured register, which never abandon the serious tone of the title.
Published on 12 February 2001 in the Literatura Mondadori collection; the back cover includes a comment by Emilio Manzano (La Vanguardia).
For readers of contemporary short fiction and literary fiction in Spanish.
