«La Révolte des accents» is the humorous novel by Erik Orsenna, published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (121 pages, in French).
The accents of French, tired of feeling ignored, go on strike and threaten to sow chaos. Those who didn't take them seriously discover that their patience has limits and that a small sign can cause great disorder. A playful fable about the mysteries of the French language and the value of every nuance.
Erik Orsenna continues the exploration of the French language begun with La grammaire est une chanson douce and Les Chevaliers du Subjonctif, in an edition illustrated by Montse Bernal.
For those who read in French and enjoy a short, witty narrative about language.
