«La princesa» is the feminist essay by Loreto Sesma that reinterprets «El príncipe» by Machiavelli, published by Planeta in hardback (96 pages, in Spanish).
A feminist reinterpretation of «El príncipe» by Machiavelli: the author imagines how a 21st-century woman would read the classic and describes the female «principality», the one women inherit from birth, marked by XX chromosomes and social expectations, to raise the problems of that inheritance and suggest solutions.
First edition published in May 2019. Work by poet Loreto Sesma, winner of the International Poetry Prize City of Melilla in 2018.
For readers interested in feminism, reinterpretation of the classics, and contemporary literary essay.
