«La otra historia de los templarios» is the historical essay by Michel Lamy, published by MR in paperback (456 pages, in Spanish).
It investigates the secrets attributed to the Order of the Temple: its fabulous treasure, the cult of severed heads, initiatory rituals and sexual ceremonies. Lamy contrasts myths and clichés to explain the origin and evolution of the order's political and economic power, as well as the reasons for its extermination and what may have survived of it.
The subtitle of this edition is «Sus costumbres, sus ritos, sus secretos»; the work was originally published in Portuguese in 1994 as «A Verdadeira História dos Templários».
For readers interested in medieval history, military orders and the mysteries of the Temple, with an accessible approach.
