«La noche del tramoyista» is the Spanish novel by Pedro Zarraluki, published by Alfaguara in paperback (214 pages, in Spanish).
The action takes place behind the scenes of a theatre, where a stage production becomes a mirror for those who work in it. Backstage, the novel explores identity, solitude and the search for meaning, and shows how the fiction of the stage intertwines with human relationships.
Alfaguara published the novel in 1986 in the Nueva ficción collection (no. 32).
Suitable for readers of Spanish fiction who enjoy stories set in the theatre and focused on characters.
