«La mujer rota» is a volume of three stories by Simone de Beauvoir, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback, with 182 pages, in Spanish.
The book brings together three stories (La mujer rota, La edad de la discreción and Monólogo) featuring women facing extreme situations: age, solitude and the collapse of love. Their voices show lives marked by an intimate, everyday failure, and the image of women the text portrays retains much of its relevance.
This edition belongs to the Gran Reserva 1960-1970 collection from Círculo de Lectores and uses large XL type.
Simone Lucie Ernestine Marie Bertrand de Beauvoir was a French existentialist philosopher, writer, social theorist, and feminist activist. Though she did not consider herself a philosopher, nor was she considered one at the time of her death, she had a significant influence on both feminist existentialism and feminist theory.
