In early 20th century Barcelona, the disappearance of children, sons of prostitutes, generates a rumor that reaches Inspector Moisès Corvo. He, along with his partner Juan Malsano, investigates the case, delving into luxury brothels and corrupt casinos. Despite the opposition of his superiors, Corvo and Malsano persist in their search for the truth, exposing the deficiencies of the police of the time and the defenselessness of the population. Based on a real case starring the so-called 'vampire of Carrer Ponent', this novel is an exploration of the literary talent of Marc Pastor.
