«La Légende de Merlin» is the illustrated fantasy album by Claudine Glot, published by Ouest-France in hardback (64 pages, in French).
Brings the reader closer to Merlin as fixed by Celtic legends and medieval tales of the Arthurian cycle: his magical powers, his role alongside King Arthur and his love for the fairy Viviana. It also shows his facets as king, warrior and prophet, in episodes inspired by Latin sources of the 12th century and French tales of the 13th, with tragic and humorous tones.
The edition, published on 20 May 2003, includes illustrations by Jean-Noël Rochut and belongs to the collection Jeunesse - Histoire illustrée.
Recommended for young readers aged 12 and over interested in fantasy, Celtic mythology and Arthurian legends.
