«La intuicionista» is the novel by Colson Whitehead, published by Random House in paperback (280 pages, in Spanish).
Empiricists and intuitionists clash: the latter detect faults upon entering the cab. Lila Mae Watson, the first Black female inspector and an intuitionist with an impeccable record, is blamed when an elevator she inspected collapses in an election year. A novel about race, perception, and tradition versus innovation.
La intuicionista is Colson Whitehead's first novel, a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway; the translation is by Camila Loew and the original text is in English.
It is aimed at readers of literary fiction and mystery interested in allegories about race and social criticism.
