«La foto de Portobello» is the young adult novel by Vicente Muñoz Puelles, published by Editorial Luis Vives (Edelvives) in paperback (184 pages, in Spanish).
Sonia, 16, is going through a rough patch; her father invites her to London. At the Portobello market she buys an old photo that fascinates her: it shows a Native American whom she identifies online. That casual purchase triggers experiences that help her find her place in the world.
The work is part of the Alandar collection, number 59, and received the IV Alandar Prize for Young Adult Fiction in 2004.
A novel for readers aged 14 and up who enjoy stories of travel, discovery, and personal growth.
