«La dama del alba» is the play by Alejandro Casona, edited by Fernando Doménech Rico, published by Castalia Ediciones in paperback.
A theatrical work in which a plot of mystery and surprises keeps the spectator's attention; it combines lyrical and dramatic values and fits into the tradition of 20th-century Spanish theatre. Skillfully written, it doles out enigmas so that each resolution opens a new question.
Third title in the Castalia Prima collection. Includes an introduction by Fernando Doménech Rico, notes, bibliography and suggested activities; 144 pages in Spanish.
Aimed at secondary school students approaching 20th-century Spanish theatre, with didactic material for the classroom.

Alejandro Rodríguez Álvarez, known as Alejandro Casona was a Spanish poet and playwright born in Besullo, Spain, a member of the Generation of '27. Casona received his bachelor's degree in Gijon and later studied at the University of Murcia. After Franco's rise in 1936, he was forced, like many Spanish intellectuals, to leave Spain. He lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina until April 1962, when he definitively returned to Spain.
