«La cuenta atrás para el verano» is the romantic novel by La Vecina Rubia, published by Libros Cúpula in paperback (496 pages, in Spanish).
The story interweaves a young woman's life with the names that marked her path to maturity: childhood friendships, a first love, people who always return, and a father figure in capital letters. The narrator reflects on friendship, love and self-knowledge, and warns that it is based on real illusions that she sometimes invented herself. Getting to know the most important people in your life ends up being a way of getting to know yourself.
It is the first book by La Vecina Rubia, which continues the «Novela» series with volume 1. It was published on 6 October 2021.
Aimed at readers looking for a nostalgic narrative about friendship and the relationships that define us, with the author's close, direct tone from social media.
