«La cigale et la fourmi» is the illustrated children's fable by Alexandre Jardin and Fred Multier, in hardback and in French.
Classic fable contrasting a carefree cicada and a hardworking ant: while one enjoys the moment, the other toils to prepare for the future. Their attitude towards foresight and effort determines the outcome. The caricature-style illustrations show the cicada with a top hat and the ant with a guitar.
Published in 2016, it belongs to the collection 'Les petits secrets des Fables'.
For young readers who enjoy classic fables in illustrated picture book format.
Alexandre Jardin is a French writer, film director and winner of the Prix Femina, 1988, for Le Zèbre.
