«La cicatriz» is the young adult novel by Bruce Lowery, published by Círculo de Lectores in paperback (174 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist is a boy who carries a physical defect and the mark of a theft he witnessed. The novel explores how these two marks condition his relationship with others and his own identity, with the transition to maturity as a backdrop.
The work is a translation by Florentino Trapero, belongs to the Onda Joven collection directed by Michi Strausfeld, in the Temas Críticos series, and its original title is La cicatrice.
Aimed at a young adult audience through its Onda Joven collection and its brief length, it is a read close to coming-of-age stories.
