«La casa verde» is the novel by Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa, published by Punto de Lectura in paperback (544 pages, in Spanish).
The action takes place between Piura, in the Peruvian coastal desert, and Santa María de Nieva, a religious mission in the Amazon. Around the brothel that don Anselmo builds on the outskirts of Piura, the novel addresses exploitation, violence and the search for identity, and became a key work of the Latin American boom.
