«La Bruja Gertrudis» (Winnie the Witch) is the children's picture book by Valerie Thomas and Korky Paul, published by Lumeneditorial in hardback, in Spanish.
The story follows Gertrudis the witch, an endearing and somewhat absent-minded character: on the cover she appears falling inside a stone arch surrounded by shelves of jars, a black cat and a snake. The book combines humour and very colourful illustrations.
The cover credits Korky Paul and Valerie Thomas, although the data sheet only mentions the text author. Sources classify it as children's reading and for learning Spanish in grades 2-3; date: April 1998.
Suitable for children in second and third grade of primary school, as well as for readers starting out in Spanish who want a short story with visual support.
Lauran Bosworth Paine was an American writer of Western fiction.
