«Kritik af den kyniske fornuft» is the philosophical essay by Peter Sloterdijk, published in 1989 by Hans Reitzels Forlag in paperback (187 pages, in Danish).
Peter Sloterdijk analyses the evolution of cynicism in modern culture and distinguishes ancient kynicism, a vital and provocative resistance, from current enlightened cynicism: a false consciousness in which one knows the truth but acts against it. The work reflects on cold, dominant rationality and the psychological roots of that mentality.
