«Kierkegaard: El divino burlador» is the essay by M. Holmes Hartshorne, published by Cátedra in 1992 in paperback (180 pages, in Spanish).
The book analyses the nature and meaning of Søren Kierkegaard's pseudonymous works, focusing on the Danish philosopher's strategy of concealment and indirect communication. Hartshorne examines how some of his writings signed with pseudonyms express different vital and religious stances, and how that peculiar form of authorship is a central part of his Christian thought.
Part of the Teorema menor collection from Cátedra. Translation by Elisa Lucena Torés of the original «Kierkegaard, the godly deceiver».
For philosophy readers interested in Kierkegaard and in the interpretation of his pseudonymous work as a key to his thought.
