«Junie B. Jones y el monstruo bajo la cama» is the children's novel by Barbara Park, published by Ciro in 2009 in paperback (93 pages, in Spanish).
Junie B. Jones is convinced that a monster lives under her bed; although her parents assure her they don't exist, the girl still isn't calm. The arrival of Paulie Allen Puffer only makes things worse: according to him, the monster could be lurking, waiting for Junie B. to fall asleep to eat her toes like sausages. A fun and relatable story about childhood fears and imagination.
It is the eighth book in the «Junie B. Jones» series. The illustrations are by Denise Brunkus and the translation by Begoña Oro.
Suitable for early readers, especially for children starting to read short chapters with humor.

Barbara Lynne Park was an American author of children's books. She is most well known for writing the Junie B. Jones series of chapter books. She has also written several middle grade and young adult books, including Skinnybones (1982), Mick Harte Was Here (1995), and The Graduation of Jake Moon (2000). Park's works frequently visit themes of familial relationships and children's experiences in school, and she based characters on her children and her own childhood memories. Park did not allow adaptations of her works except for stage plays.
