«Juan Olores» is a book of fantastical and humorous short stories by Emilio Aragón (Miliki), published by Alfaguara in paperback (156 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist, Juan Olores, has an extraordinary sense of smell that allows him to perceive odours over a hundred kilometres away. With this gift he solves mysteries in fantastical and absurd tales, such as locating a missing girl or tracking animals during a hunt.
The full subtitle is «Un libro dedicado a mis niños de 30 años y más...» and Miliki is the stage name of Emilio Aragón (1929-2012).
For nostalgic adults: Miliki himself dedicated it to «mis niños de 30 años y más», with a storytelling tone that the edition classifies as children's and young adult.
