«José Cosmen Adelaida (ALSA)» is the business biography by Joaquín Ocampo Suárez-Valdés, published by LID Editorial in hardback within the Historia Empresarial collection (296 pages, in Spanish).
The work reviews the career of José Cosmen, heir to a dynasty of Asturian muleteers who turned the family trade into the seed of ALSA. He introduces the bus to Asturias in the 1920s, consolidates the family business in times of war and autarky, and expands it towards central Spain. With internationalisation in Paris, Geneva and Brussels, and the landing in China in 1984, ALSA evolves from a regional bus operator to an integrated mobility manager.
The book belongs to the Historia Empresarial collection by LID Editorial. The Spanish edition is published in hardback and comprises 296 pages.
Aimed at readers of business history and those interested in the ALSA case as an example of a Spanish family business with international projection.
