«Il bambino che venne dal fiume. Le avventure di Mosè» is the children's novel by Wlodek Goldkorn, published by Feltrinelli in paperback (112 pages).
A retelling of the myth of Moses for young readers: it recounts how Princess Batia finds the baby in a basket on the Nile, his childhood at court, and his rebellion against slavery. It blends the biblical with legends and reflects on whether the liberation of the Hebrew people was the work of divine wonders or of Moses's courage and imagination.
Text in Italian, with illustrations by Sergio Staino. Published in 2021 in the Feltrinelli kids collection. Recommended reading age: from 9 years.
Recommended for young readers interested in biblical stories and in adventures narrated from a close and alternative perspective.
