«I miti degli dei» is Luciano De Crescenzo's mythological popular-science essay, published by Mondadori in hardback (129 pages, in Italian).
Italian author Luciano De Crescenzo narrates with humour and a popularising spirit the golden legend of the Olympian gods, led by Zeus. He humanises the deities, connects them with philosophy and everyday life, and turns classical mythology into a gateway to Mediterranean culture for non-specialist readers.
The edition dates from 1993. The work belongs to the collection «I libri di Luciano De Crescenzo»; the cover shows the mark «ZEVS», an illustration of Zeus and a portrait of the author on the back cover.
For readers who want to start out in Greek mythology or rediscover it from an enjoyable approach, close to philosophy and Mediterranean culture.
Luciano De Crescenzo was an Italian writer, film actor, director and engineer.
