«Hot Line» is the crime novel by Luis Sepúlveda, published by EDB Ficción in hardback, with 96 pages, in Spanish.
The Mapuche detective George Washington Caucamán starts in the rural service of Patagonia and, after an incident with cattle rustlers, moves to the sexual crimes unit of the capital. The case he investigates consists of threatening calls to a telephone line operator, perhaps linked to tortures under Pinochet's dictatorship.
Published in 2002 within the Ficcionario collection; the cover shows a red telephone wrapped in white thread.
For adult readers interested in the short crime novel with a Chilean background.
