Gilles Kepel is a French political scientist and Arabist, specialized in the contemporary Middle East and Muslims in the West. He was a professor at Sciences Po Paris, and Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) university, where he was the director of the Middle East and Mediterranean Program.
