«Historias de mujeres» is Rosa Montero's collection of biographies, published by Alfaguara in hardback (248 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together the portraits that Rosa Montero published in the Sunday supplement of El País. Rosa Montero described these portraits as highly researched pieces with a passionate and personal tone: portraits of singular women, generous or wicked, brave or shy. Among those portrayed are Frida Kahlo, the Brontë sisters, Simone de Beauvoir and Agatha Christie.
The work was published on 15 May 1995 within the Alfaguara Extra series.
The book is aimed at readers of non-fiction and Spanish literature, as well as those seeking perspectives on women's history.
Madrid journalist and novelist, El País columnist, author of History of the Transparent King, The Cannibal's Daughter and the Bruna Husky series.
