«Historias de Franz» is the children's book by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (71 pages, in Spanish).
Franz is a six-year-old boy with blond curls and rosy cheeks, which is why some people mistake him for a girl, something that bothers him quite a bit. In these episodes, Franz shows that he knows how to stand up for himself and make clear who he is. With Mother's Day approaching, he prepares a surprise for his mum.
It is the first title in the Franz series and number 21 in the El Barco de Vapor Azul collection; the recommended reading age is 7 to 10 years.
For young readers who enjoy stories featuring a boy their age.

Christine Nöstlinger was an Austrian writer best known for children's books. She received one of two inaugural Astrid Lindgren Memorial Awards from the Swedish Arts Council in 2003, the biggest prize in children's literature, for her career contribution to "children's and young adult literature in the broadest sense." She received the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for "lasting contribution to children's literature" in 1984 and was one of three people through 2012 to win both of these major international awards.
