This book is divided into two parts: historical accounts and narratives. The first part collects well-known stories from the Old Testament, such as the accounts of Joshua, Samson, and David, which aim to tell the official history of Israel. The second part features short narratives and unique literary works that emerged independently of that official history, such as Ruth, Tobiah, and Judith.
