«Hi ha res més avorrit que ésser una princesa rosa?» is the children's picture book by Raquel Díaz Reguera, published by Thule in hardback (48 pages, in Catalan).
Carlota is fed up with pink and with being a princess: she doesn't want to kiss toads in case they turn out to be blue princes, and she wonders why princesses don't rescue princes, hunt dragons or go up in balloons. The story humorously champions another way of understanding fairy tales and the roles of their protagonists.
Catalan edition translated by Laura Vaqué Sugrañes, part of Thule's Trampantojo collection. The work has been adapted for the stage, directed by Paco Mir.
Recommended for readers aged 5 to 12, especially those who enjoy questioning classic princess tales.
