«Heribert Barrera, l'últim republicà» is the biography of the Catalan leader written by Genís Sinca, published by Columna CAT in paperback (300 pages, in Catalan).
The book traces the life of Heribert Barrera, from his childhood and scientific training to the Second Republic, exile in Montpellier and clandestinity during the Franco regime. The portrait shows a leader of firm character, critical of his own fellow republicans for considering that they lowered the demand for Catalonia's historical rights, and offers a little complacent view of the Spanish transition.
The work belongs to the Biografies collection of the publisher Columna CAT. The book includes an index.
Recommended for readers interested in the political history of Catalonia during the 20th century and in biographies of figures of Catalan republicanism.
