Synopsis of Harricana

In the heart of the Canadian Great North, the immensity of space stretches as far as the eye can see, covered in snow and lashed by an implacable cold. Despite the adversities, at the beginning of the 20th century, bold men began to enter these lands, driven by the ambition to conquer them, hunt in them and discover their hidden treasures. Among these pioneers is the Robillard family, whose amazing epic, woven of dramas and exploits, is narrated to us by Bernard Clavel. After four failed attempts, the Robillards embark on a utopian adventure: founding a new town on the banks of the Harricana River. Since his childhood, Bernard Clavel dreamed of this "Kingdom" of the North, which he finally discovered, explored and loved in his reality, inspiring and renewing his literary vision.
