«Goliath» is the graphic novel by Tom Gauld, published by Drawn and Quarterly Books in hardback (96 pages, in English).
«Goliath» retells the myth of David and Goliath from Goliath’s side, a soldier of Gath forced to challenge the Israelites every day. He would prefer administrative tasks; he entertains himself with his squire and contemplates the Valley of Elah. The minimalist, almost geometric drawing, with dense shading, reinforces a tragic and darkly humorous tone.
First edition, published in March 2012. The catalogue includes it in the Comics and Manga category.
