«Fuck America» is the novel by Edgar Hilsenrath, published by Errata Naturae Editores in 2010 in paperback (264 pages, in Spanish).
In 1952, Jakob Bronsky, a Jewish immigrant newly arrived in New York, writes in a café a novel about his experience in the ghetto during the Second World War, titled «El pajillero». As he moves among emigrants, bohemians and outcasts of the American dream, Bronsky alternates precarious jobs with nights of writing and hopes to attract the attention of a future editor. The story, with a raw tone and black humour, is inspired by Edgar Hilsenrath's own biography.
The book belongs to the La mujer cíclope collection by Errata Naturae, in its second edition. The translation from German is by Iván de los Ríos and the original title is «Bronskys Geständnis».

Edgar Hilsenrath was a German-Jewish writer and Holocaust survivor. He wrote several novels that gave an unvarnished view of the Holocaust which were partly based on his own experiences in a Nazi concentration camp. His main works are Night, The Nazi and the Barber, and The Story of the Last Thought. After fleeing Nazi Germany in 1944, he lived in Palestine and France, before settling in New York City in 1951 where he lived for 24 years and published his first novels. Although he was a naturalized United States citizen, he chose to return to Germany in 1975 where he lived until his death in 2018.
