«Fremd küssen» is the chick lit novel by Steffi von Wolff, published by Fischer Taschenbuch in paperback (317 pages, in German).
The story takes place in a radio station: a colleague announces live that Carolin has had sex, a listener dedicates «Time to say good-bye» to her deceased budgerigar, and the narrator receives a marriage proposal on condition that she promises to say no. From there, the protagonist gets caught up in romantic entanglements and absurd everyday situations, narrated with ironic humour.
The novel originally appeared in 2003, and this edition from the Fischer Taschenbuch imprint is from 2007. The cover subtitle is «Roman».
Ideal for those looking for chick lit novels with ironic humour, a clumsy female protagonist and recognisable everyday situations.
