«Fragmentos de inexistencia» is the biography of Tom Sharpe written by Miquel Martín i Serra and Montserrat Verdaguer, published by Anagrama in paperback.
Biography of Tom Sharpe, master of British humour, which starts with his childhood as the son of an Anglican reverend sympathetic to Nazism and covers his time in South Africa as a teacher, photographer and anti-apartheid activist —including prison—, his rise to fame with the character of Wilt, creative block and refuge in Llafranc. It shows how sarcasm was his weapon against the madness of the world.
With the collaboration of Montserrat Verdaguer, executor of Tom Sharpe's legacy. Part of the Biblioteca de la memoria collection (number 45), first edition published on 31 May 2023.
Aimed at readers of literary biographies and British humour, particularly followers of Tom Sharpe and his character Wilt.
