In James Herriot's final collection, familiar friends return (including old favorites such as Tricki Woo) and new ones are introduced, including Herriot's children Rosie and Jimmy, and the marvelously eccentric vet Calum Buchanan. In this collection of veterinary tales, the storyteller describes the busiest years of his practice and the rewards of training a new generation. As an aging James Herriot begins to see more house pets than livestock, the vet reflects on the changes in his life and the world around him.
James Alfred Wight, better known by his pen name James Herriot, was a British veterinary surgeon and author.
