«Evangeli gris» is the historical novel by Vicenç Villatoro, published by Proa in hardback (191 pages).
The book's subtitle, «Per conèixer la Història de Catalunya», condenses its intention: to bring the history of Catalonia closer to the reader through a fictional narrative. As a historical novel, it combines an informative interest with the literary reconstruction of the region's past.
Published in 1999 by Edicions Proa, it is part of the «Novel·la Històrica» collection; that year's edition is listed as the 21st of the work.
For readers interested in the history of Catalonia and in historical fiction as a means of dissemination.
