«Esther, das Wunderschwein» is the memoir by Steve Jenkins, Derek Walter and Caprice Crane, published by btb Verlag in paperback and in German.
Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter think they are adopting a mini pig, but Esther reaches 335 kilos. Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter leave their flat in Toronto and found the sanctuary Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary. The book narrates with humour that transformation and how Esther's story leads them to advocate veganism and animal welfare.
First German edition translated by Leon Mengden; the original «Esther the Wonder Pig» appeared in 2016 and the edition has 256 pages.
For readers interested in real animal stories, vegan activism and farm animal sanctuaries.
